Who Are Thing 1 and Thing 2?
Whenever I check Recent Keyword Activity on StatCounter, I find that most people stumble onto my blog by searching for Thing 1 and Thing 2. Who are they? What story do they come from? What are some Thing 1 and Thing 2 quotes?
This post is for them.
Thing 1 and Thing 2
You ask, "Who is that?"
They're a Seussical pair
From the Cat in the Hat
They come out of a box,
Thing 1 and Thing 2.
They do not say much,
Just "How do you do?"
They make mischief & mayhem
with "bumps, jumps, and kicks"
They like to fly kites
and do lots of bad tricks.
They destroy the whole house
while running about
as the fish in the dish yells
"You must get them out!"
Till at last, mom is seen
at the end of the day.
And the Cat packs them up
and takes them away.

I'm pretty sure I live with them. They never clean up and where is that damn cat?
Ha, ha! I live with them too! :)
I only have 1 thing but he says a lot more than 'How do you do'. :)
Sadly, #1 on my keyword analysis is 'cute butts in sweatpants'.
sigh...you write one post about baseball players...
Haha, great!
Okay, I've become addicted to statcounter recently, and I haven't figured out how to check the key word thing. Can you tutor me? :-)
Wonderful! I love it. :-)
I have a couple of those myself.
I love Thing 1 and Thing 2! You snagged a great header and funfilled theme!
The Cat in the Hat, and other of the Doctor's books, are books I never tired of reading, over and over and over.
As for who are they, they are my son's third grade teachers in Okinawa. They were so inspired by them, and Him, and His books, that they took the characters to heart and passed on a real joy of reading to their kids.
And my two favorite Seuss characters EVER...even beating the whos of whoville. :0)
So creative!
I've got a thing 3 as well.....(exponentially more mischievous than the first 2).
Every time you rhyme, I smile.
I love this so much!!!

Wow, you really can monitor everything, lol... it's a little 1984 for me. But cool anyway, especially for marketing. ;)
I was looking for this content, and didn't see it elsewhere. Thanks!
