Puppy Love

I've been a little sad the past few days.  I thought I was adopting Bradshaw.

Or his bother, Tuck.

Or his other brother, Pierre-Paul.

But they all got taken by other families.

I desperately needed to do something to cheer myself up.  I figured I could

a) eat chocolate
b) drink wine
c) order tons of  picture books on Amazon.

I picked (d) all of the above.

I still feel sad, but I am going to have one heck of an awesome new library!

And I know there is a cute little guy named Cruz waiting for me out there somewhere!

Sorry you didn't get your puppy, so to help cheer you up I am tagging you to come over to my blog and play a game. Just answer 11 questions about your reading habits, then tag 11 of your friends to do the same. It neat to learn about the reading habits of others. Hope to see you there at:

OH man. Hard not to get one of those darling puppies, but there is another one waiting for you. :) And in the meantime... enjoy the chocolate, wine and books! Perfect solution!

The puppy you end up adopting will be way better than those three!

Thanks. It just felt like it was so meant-to-be. Especially since they were all named for NY Giants!

:( That is sad to have your heart set on something like that, and then not get it. I've been there.

My local newspaper put up on facebook this morning a picture of 7 yellow labs pups that just showed up at the pound. Within an hour, they were all gone. There were many broken hearts in that comment string.

Wine, books and chocolate are a good filler until the right one comes along.

Oh, that's such a bummer. They're awfully cute. Keep looking for the right little guy. He's out there, waiting for you. I LOVE the way you handle depression, though! :-)

The right pup will come, although it is hard when your hope and heart come crashing down in the meantime.

Just think, your carpets are WAY cleaner right now than those people who did get pups already...

Awww, that's rough, I'm sorry.

*sends hugs and more chocolate*

Those puppies are so cute! So sorry you didn't get to adopt any of them. I'm sure you'll find a puppy to adopt real soon. In the meantime, enjoy your chocolate, wine, and books.

This is so weird...I came across your blog while doing searches on Thing 1 and Thing 2...the weird part is my aunt is the one who adopted Bradshaw and she picked up Tuck and Piere Paul to transport to their forever families. She stopped at our house on the way from Knoxville to Connecticut so we could see them! Too weird that in the entire blog world I'd see the puppies here! So sorry you didn't get one of them! Now back to Dr Seuss research! HA!

Too weird...those puppies took a pit stop at our house with my aunt as she transported her Bradshaw and the other two to homes in Connecticut! What are the chances of me surfing blogs for Dr Seuss info and coming upon a blog with those dogs! Too weird! So sorry you didn't get one!
