They're cute as can be
but they fight endlessly
and they constantly whine and complain.
They gripe and protest
"I don't want to get dressed."
They're driving me truly insane.
They kvetch and they moan
When I talk on the phone
My, gosh, I can't hear a thing!
They want to be served
Boy, they've got some nerve
They think they're the queen and the king!
They drop trash on the floor
and demand "Get me more!"
With no "thank you's" for goodness sake.
You two, I adore you,
but please. I implore you!
Give your poor Mommy a break!

Love this! You have such a touch for these rhymes.
And clearly they know who is king and queen. ;)
Yes, you bad things! Give your poor mommy a break -- right now! :)
It sounds like we're living the same lives. Mine are the exact same way. It gets SOOOO tiring!
LOL, I think this is the first poem I've ever read with the word "kvetch" in it. Awesome.
Take it easy on Mommy, you two!
To the Queen and King:
Please give Mommy a break!
*cute picture*
Little. Nasty. Meanies.
I tell them to leave me alone and then I take a hot bath and put a washcloth over my face. They usually sit on the floor next to the tub asking me all sorts of questions:
"Why do you have a washcloth on your face, mommy?"
"Why are you in the tub, mommy?"
"Why are you not talking mommy?"
Gosh. But we do love them, those gnats!
Ha! This just described our first day of summer vacation!
Have you been spending time with my children?! Great rhyme, Corey! :-)w
Oh, Corey, I so hear you! My oldest isn't yet off for summer break and I don't know how we will all live through the summer. Good luck :)
I feel your frustration. Don't worry. They'll grow up. :-)
Great job, Corey! And your kids are adorable!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
Ha! Frame that, it's too cute! *sigh* they DO outgrow this I promise.
I am WITH you!!
Well said!!!!
Have you read Marla Frazee's latest picture book The Boss Baby? I laughed so hard--my children didn't see the humor at all. Go figure!!
