My recent attitude has been.... why write a blog post, when there are so many good ones out there that I can just link to? This has not just been pure laziness (though it is hard to find time to blog with 19 games of Scrabble going simultaneously on Facebook). It is more a matter of practicality. (The wheel really doesn't need to be reinvented)So, instead of sharing my last few words of wisdom on PiBoIdMo today, I present you with Julie Hedlund's post.
Julie really nails it with her three bullet points:
- Trust your instincts
- Stamp out censorship
- Be alert
- Keep your list going
Every time you get even the smallest inkling of an idea, add it to your list!
I still pull out my PiBo 2009 list and look over the 56 or so ideas that accumulated throughout the year. In fact, my best idea this November came from something I jotted during the year. I had the title, but not the "hook."
Okay, gotta go. 19 games of Scrabble don't play themselves!

Hey I'm so glad you liked my post, and thanks for the link! I think the one you added definitely completes the list. We can't just slink off and go, "okay, that's enough ideas until next November." We've got to keep them coming. But I did enjoy the discipline of having to come up with one every day.
I agree! PiBoWriMo has shown me how catching the ideas while I go will help me in the long run. I'll keep adding to my list!

Great post, Corey! You made me laugh out loud and nod in agreement. :) I didn't participate in PiBoldMo, but I have a list of ideas that I'm always adding too. :)
Keeping your list out is a great tip!! I constantly am having ideas that sometimes I write down and often don't, because the list is somewhere is my computer and I often can't remember where I filed it so then I start a new one, which later I can't find.
So yeah. VERY helpful tip! :)
And scrabble is totally a writer's tool, so you can count it as writing time, right?
