Ten in '10

Okay, so Sudipta got me inspired. I am going to write ten picture books in 2010!

Anyone else in?

Oooh...let me think about it. I'm working on a MG novel also, but PBs are my first love. But 10? That's a tall order.

Ten! You go, Corey! Me? Well, maybe I can finally finish my one picture book and one of my YAs. That would make me happy.

Corey, I'm too chicken to put my goal "out there", but I did email myself a specific number to refer to come December.

Thanks for the prod.

You go girl! I'm thinking of attempting 10 pages in 2010. No, I'm only kidding, but I do think I'll aim a little lower.

Ten. Hmm. That would mean one for each remaining month of 2010. I think I could pull that off if I weren't trying to also finish a novel. Maybe I'll say 5 instead. But who knows what could happen!

Sounds like fun. I've written one so far, plus a MG. Good luck!

AWESOME! You can do it!

Current WIPs? Hmm... did you start them or write the bulk of then since Jan 1st? I am counting two so far- Goldi and Ninja sequel.

I want to say I'm in, but then I want to say I'm crazy, but then I want to say I'm in again...so let's count me in. For today. Ask me again tomorrow. :)

Cool! Go for it! If I were writing PB's I'm sure I'd be joining you.

Woot! You go, girl! I don't write PB's, but I'm going to write a new novel. Does that count?

I'll join you, sounds like a good goal. I have 1 that I'm working on now. I need to have a brainsorming session. :)

WHOAH! I think I'd have a heart attack if I tried to attempt that!

I'm excited for you, though. Can I be your cheerleader instead?

I'll certainly try!

Thanks for the challenge Corey! I joined the Picture Book Marathon - one first draft (beginning, middle & end) every day for the month of February and I managed one complete first draft :-( Life kept getting in the way. But, one a month sounds doable - and I can do extra writing in the summer when I'm not working.

So, count me in!!!

OMG, Lori, that is crazy!!! Yes, one a month sounds very reasonable after hearing that!

I think it's a good goal. Once you get your ten stories you can begin the fun part--revision!

I've given you a One Lovely Blog Award - today on my blog.

Ok. I will try.

I'll give it a go. I've got three that I've written since Jan. 1 plus two others from last year. This would keep me from resting on my laurels.
