Oh Boy! A Surprise!

One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries. - A.A. Milne

Yup! Like the five coats I discovered in Joshy's school locker today.

Milne is a genius. (And thanks to Tiffany for bringing that quote to my attention.)

What exciting discoveries have you made lately?

I won a book in a blog contest that I didn't even realize I had entered. It pays to comment!

He can fit five coats in his locker?? My son wears a hoodie in snow blizzards because he can't fit ONE in his!!

We love the beginning of winter when we pull out the winter coats and dig through the pockets. there are always treasures in there we've forgotten. :)

lately - I can't think of any exciting discoveries. I must make a point of finding something tomorrow!

I love this quote! By those standards, I should have exciting discoveries to make on a daily basis!

Fun quote. That's funny about all the coats too. I haven't made any exciting discoveries lately either. At least, I don't think I have ...

Wow, five coats in his locker. Must not have had room for anything else.

No great discoveries here, but I may come across something as I'm still a long ways away from being done with spring cleaning.

I should have this engraved over my desk...no, my house....no, I should have it made into a T-shirt and wear it everywhere.

It is me.

So true. My favorite discoveries involve the $5 and $10 bills I find in coat pockets the first time they're worn in the fall. It's like winning the lottery.

(PS--you should definitely check the pockets of those five coats!!)

Oh man! That's it. I'm going to stop cleaning up my piles, so I can make new exciting discoveries. Thanks for the permission!

Funny you should mention cleaning, I'm escavating our house and finding all sorts of flat out trash. So much for cleanliness.

I have painters coming soon. This means I have to clean out the hall closets that contain gift wrap photos, newspapers from important days, kids' memory boxes, clothes that no longer fit, and several boxes of I don't know what. And that's what I know is in there. I'm sure there will be plenty of surprises.

Messy Marvin over here too. We just uncovered our brand new fancy camera that's been missing for about 3 weeks. We were sure it would never turn up. SOOOO relieved when I found it stuck in a bag in the little ballerina's bedroom.

Great quote - which is turn makes me discover that doing / being something seems so much better when someone else (preferably someone wise) has said it's OK, or good, or they do it to. I think I'd like this not to be the case, not to be reliant on external approval but, there we go...
