Slow as Molasses

Okay, Karma Wilson wrote a PB on a Saturday, revised it Monday, and by Wed her agent had sent it to her editor who LOVED it.

I, uh, on the other hand,  am still working on the same friggin' fractured fairy tale that I began last December!

If this were college, I'd be on the seven year plan

Crawling along at a snail's pace, but I think I am finally (almost) at the point where my agent is happy with it.

Just need to polish up a few final spots and then, my editor should have it, by say... oh, November?

Oh hahaha, Corey! I hear ya loud and clear. I've written and revised some of my PBs for years.

But you, my dear, have an agent, an editor and contracts! I'd say you're in good shape. Yay for you!

Here's my theory: Karma Wilson is really twenty people writing under one name.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels slow. You can do it! :o)

Ha! What Joanne said. And Karma *Amazing* Wilson.
Best of luck, Corey. I'm still reworking the same ms, too. :)

But it's going to be such an incredible story that all your agonizing and hard work will be totally worth it!

Keep plugging away.

LOL...I planned on being on the four year plan, but appear to be on the 10 year plan. :)

Good luck finishing up your ms.

I'm still plugging along and I don't have an agent yet. Feel my pain! *sob* So I'm on the rest of my life plan!! *sigh*

Good luck on yours. You can do it! :-)

LOL! It amazes me when I hear authors say it takes them about a month to get a manuscript to the agent and ready to submit.

Good luck finishing up your story by November. :-)

I'm so happy for people like Karma who write quickly and find great success - they must be very talented. But there's something about these stories that always make me want to kick someone in the shins! :)

This made me smile. I'm on the slow plan too!My Blog

I'm with Susanna!

Seriously though, I'm sure Karma's put in the hours elsewhere in another time.

Me? It's looking like I'll be on the 15-year plan.

Some stories are just that way. I've written PBs that seemed to almost write themselves in a matter of days. Others take months or even years to get right. So keep doing what you're doing. Your story rocks! And any time you spend on it will be more than worth it.

Yes, that sounds about right. So sad that we don't all get the celebrity treatment...but it makes it all that much sweeter, yes?

hehe...I guess that's why her name is Karma. I can't even imagine busting out a great story like that. Amazing!

Ten year plan, sounds about right.

Keep at it. It's going to be great!

That's alright, Corey! Take your time - I'm sure it'll turn out great! Which story is this, BTW - Twinderella? Did you revise it to have a different ending?

And thanks for your commenting on my blog! It's great to see you!

Oh, I HEAR YOU. Join the club. LOL! At least we'll get there eventually. Better slowly than not at all!
