The Boss Baby

Once every few years, a picture book comes along and I say, "Holy ^%$@^%$, why didn't I write this???" (sob, sob)

Well, that is what precisely happened to me today when I read The Boss Baby by Marla Frazee:

From the moment the baby arrived, it was obvious that he was the boss.

He put Mom and Dad on a round-the-clock schedule, with no time off...

It's friggin' hilarious! And it is so exactly my experience! If your household is- or has ever been- run by a little creature who can't even talk yet, you have got to check out this book!

Ha! I need to get that for all my pregnant neices. (Why is it my family marries and breeds in waves? So very hard on the pocket book?)

I totally TRIED to write this book about 2 years ago...but mine was called the BAD BABY....and when I read it to my group, one member said, "Oh, kind of like Stewie."

That was not what I was going for at all!!! Hence I chucked it. I am so glad someone else got it right!

And her illustrations are amazing.

(Isn't it weird how ideas are out there, just waiting for the right writer?)

At least you gave us 2an hour a day off while you sang and played with your fingers upon awakening each morning.

Sounds cute. Is it just as appealing to kids as it is to adults?

This book looks precious and hilarious all at the same time. I'm guessing every parent will be able to relate having a Baby Boss:)
